Anna Alma-Tadema was a British artist and suffragette born in 1867. Her early works, drawings and paintings consisted mainly of portraits and interior representations. She was influenced by her father, the talented painter Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema. She showed her work to him in a joint exhibition, also including her mother-in-law, Laura Theresa Anna Alma-Tadema, who never married, died in 1943, aged seventy-six.
